National Estate Planning Awareness Week is recognized this year, October 17 – 22, 2023. This special week was adopted in 2008 when it was determined that over 120,000,000 Americans did not have up-to-date estate plans to protect themselves, their family, and their legacy in the event of illness, accidents, or untimely passing. The week is dedicated to raising awareness, helping the public understand why estate planning is critical to individuals and families, and how implementation of careful planning can prevent families from being subject to complex legal procedures, including unnecessary court and government involvement, and paying higher costs and taxes, leaving less money for intended beneficiaries.
In honor of National Estate Planning Awareness Week, we are hosting two webinars in October and one webinar in November. Please be inspired by the comfort you have knowing that you have executed your estate plan and have protected your family and your legacy. Please share your experience and encourage your friends and family to initiate their estate plan or to review existing but dated estate plans. Please contact our office to register for one of our upcoming estate planning webinars or to schedule a complimentary 30-minute consultation to discuss establishing or restating a Living Trust.
