People ask what is Active Aging Week; I was curious as well.
The International Council on Active Aging began the first Active Aging Week in 2003. This week usually runs the first week in October and is meant to celebrate how positive the process of aging can be.
During the week of October 3-9, 2022, we encourage adults to celebrate aging and the benefits of active living after the age of 50. Activities for the mind, body and soul along with a day-to-day guide with additional information can be found at their website. https://www.activeagingweek.com/
Eventbrite.com has some wonderful healthy and fun events that may spark you interest. Some of these things can also be done on your own or with your friends and family.

Healthy Cooking Demo: Cooking is on my list of relaxing and satisfying things to do, especially when I do it for the people I love. It would be more fun be to make you own healthy cooking demo or invite your friends or family over and show them your skills in the kitchen.
Music, Movement, and Memory: Three things I defiantly need to embrace in my life. Get active; invite a friend for a walk, engage in meaningful conversation, and go to a play, musical, or even the symphony.
Stretch and Play your Stress Away: I love this title. It makes the daily routine of stretching more manageable and enjoyable. Start and end your day with stretching and invigorating your body while relaxing your mind.
These mindful activities are very important to aging with a positive and healthy attitude. Being social and active throughout your life will bring love and joy.
Keep smiling,
Heather at Falk, Barrot & Associates, LLP.
